Ambassador Mark Dybul

Former U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and Co-director, O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, Georgetown University

In addition to his role as Co-Chair of The O’Neil Institute, Dr. Mark Dybul is a distinguished scholar and serves as a Senior Advisor to GBC. Prior to joining the Georgetown faculty, Dybul served as the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, leading the implementation of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). In this role, he oversaw all U.S. government engagements in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and served as Chair of the group’s Finance and Audit Committee. Dybul also served as Vice Chair and later Chair of the Joint United Nations Programme on the HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Coordinating Board and served as a President G.W. Bush-appointed member of the Board of Trustees of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
