Jonathan Capehart

Jonathan Capehart has been an Editorial Board member of The Washington Post since 2007. He is an MSNBC Contributor and has been a member of the Reporters Roundtable on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” Capehart served on the New York Daily News’ editorial board from 1993 to 2000 and 2002 to 2004. In 1999, his 16-month campaign to save the Apollo Theatre earned him and the board the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing. Capehart left the Daily News in July 2000 to become the national affairs columnist at Bloomberg News. He also served as a policy advisor to Michael Bloomberg in his first successful campaign for New York City mayor.
