Dr. Christoph Benn
Director of External Relations & Partnerships, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
Christoph Benn is responsible for coordinating with all stakeholders of Global Fund's board, governments in donor and implementing countries, civil society, private sector and multilateral organizations. Since Global Fund's inception, Dr. Benn has managed the replenishment conferences, secured long-term commitments from donors and spearheaded innovative approaches to resource mobilization including (PRODUCT)RED and Debt2Health. As a physician with special training in tropical medicine, Dr. Benn has more than 20 years of experience in global health and advocacy. He co-founded the advocacy network Action against AIDS in his home country Germany and was the first board member representing civil society from developed countries when the Global Fund was created in 2002.
