David Pitts

Regional Head for Africa; Director of International Development Group, Standard Bank

Based in London, David Pitts has been with Standard Bank for 17 years. During that time he has filled a number of roles including Head of Credit/Risk, Head of Banking, Regional Head for Africa, and later represented the European side of the International Development Group. In his current role he is responsible for a number of key relationships with major European Donors, NGOs and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs). His work is closely linked to the Group’s subsidiary operations in 17 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Pitts was also instrumental in the launch of the Bank’s Global Fund pro bono services partnership in four African countries (Lesotho, Nigeria, Swaziland and Uganda).
